Latha-Ir, dwarven for “hidden place” is a secret hideout for bandits, rogues and other who sometimes wish to disappear from the known world. It is a place to rest, relax, heal, find work and make trade. There is no government or town guard in Latha-Ir, it is a place where people behave because they know to respect the others who visit there. If you’ve made it into Latha-Ir, you’re a scoundrel to one degree or another.
The small community consists of fewer than 10 permanent structures. Made from stone and pine, with thatched roofs, the buildings favor function over flair. In addition to the buildings, the odd tent or campfire from travelers can also be found. All the structures hug the gorge walls, partially shaded by the steep cliffs above. Since there are no fields for farming, there are no homesteads here. The buildings all serve as places of business.
